I read an article the other day about how safe Malden actually is, and honestly its not that safe. The Malden community is quite dangerous, but its not the MOST dangerous place to live.
ACTUALLY, your chances of getting "attacked" are 1 of 33, which isn't THAT bad.
BUT Malden does have a crime rate that is 83% above most "cities and towns of all sizes".
FORTUNATELY, Malden's rate for property crime is 25 per 1000 population; which makes you less likely to be a victim of a property crime.
ALSO, the chance that a person will be a victim of a rape, armed robbery, aggravated assault, or murder is 1 of 209. (Equal to 5 of 1000 inhabitants.)
WE AS A CLASS decided that we should try to stop the bus cuts because we think that many of these crime rates will decrease A LOT if we have more buses. Most crimes happen at night, so if there are more bus stops in more areas, there is less likely to be anyone in walking around at night in danger.
